Woman's word

Valentina (Larisa Savankova), a faithful wife and diligent housekeeper, catches her husband, a grocery empire owner (Aleksandr Peskov), red-handed with his sexy assistant (Anna Lutseva). That rich jerk does not even consider explaining himself and hiding his feelings for the young beauty. Actually he sjpPs.jpgis happy to get rid of his aged wife. He is fed up with her. Valentina who has parted with illusions of having a happily married life agrees to get divorced but demands her share of their property and business. Her unfaithful husband carelessly agrees with the demands and assigns her an unprofitable bakery chain having no regrets. He has no idea that this obedient housewife possesses a brilliant entrepreneurial talent. With the help of her three friends, a single mom Anastasia (Irina Sotnikova) and two recent college graduates Polina (Anastasia Dyukova) and Rita (Anna Arefyeva), Valentina manages not only to save the business from bankruptcy but to make it profitable. However, not everyone is happy for the success of these shrewd and talented women. Will these four budding businesswomen manage to win in all fields? Will they manage to gain happiness and prove that they are able to be not only faithful wives and passionate lovers but to run their own business in the world that lives according to men’s tough rules? In July 2009 the work on “Woman’s Word” continued on RWS St. Petersburg studio. The first 40 episodes were shot in fall 2008.
