Thema Production was founded in 2003 to produce and finance film projects for the international market and now is a part of Sistema Mass-Media
To date Thema has co-produced and co-financed 14 feature films, among them Woody Allen’s project MATCH POINT, starring Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Rhys-Myers and Emily Mortimer, which received 4 Golden Globe and 1 Oscar nomination. Among other projects, Thema produced FADE TO BLACK, the Orson Welles story, starring Danny Huston and Christopher Walken DELIRIOUS, starring Steve Buscemi, Michael Pitt and Alison Lohman, RESCUE DAWN, directed by Werner Herzog and starring Christian Bale and GOODBYE BAFANA, the story of Nelson Mandela’s incarceration on Robben Island, directed by Bille August, starring Joe Fiennes, Diane Kruger and Dennis Haysbert.
