Golden Trap is a gripping story about real men

Incident acquaintances Andrei Novikov (Evgeny Dyatlov), former tank man, and Yura Martov (Alexander Golubev), who has never been in the army, find themselves searching for money in the gold workings, in the world where this yellow metal is the only value and a person is just a mining tool. The “gold mafia” which is in control of а profitable “company” in Taiga with the help of overlookers, who are called “blatnye”,  sets all the rules. At the end of each season they secretly get rid of the gold miners and get a grip of their profits. Trying to stay outside of this dark side of the gold workings life, Andrei and Yura realize very quickly that they will not be able to elude the same destiny.  

Alarm signals become more distinct – the miners from the neighboring site have been murdered and the gold they have mined disappeared. Having decided to take advantage of this common turmoil, Andrei claims to call the police to the crime scene. But the “police officers” and the “prosecutor” who have arrived by helicopter appear to be disguised criminals. Supported by “blatnye” from taiga side, they bring the fire down on defenseless workers. The protagonists try to arrange opposition but their forces are obviously uneven. And there is only one way left for them – to forge through the thick taiga forests rescuing themselves and the gold they have mined.        

A merciless hunt for them controlled by the “gold mafia” boss Svir (Vyacheslav Razbegaev) starts from this moment. Andrei and Yuri who are declared as dangerous criminals are pursued by police and mafia which uses all methods and threatens lives of Yuri’s wife Lena (Svetlana Ustinova) and his little daughter. The gold vein turns a real trap for these two friends.

“”Golden Trap” is a serial adventure film with development, storyline, collisions, twists and turns, everything that characterizes serious movie. This is the way we are trying to make our film, so we treat the technical side of shootings with high concern, i.e. episodes are filmed with HD cameras using expensive quality lenses and complex lighting arrangement designed not for TV series shootings. We thoroughly selected locations, soon we are going to go to Karelia, and also shootings on the river banks in Losevo (Saint Petersburg region) and other picturesque locations are in store for us. I hope we will manage to shoot quality movie worthy of viewers.”
