Second Season of Sea Patrol

Continuation of a popular TV-series that was filmed in Anapa and its picturesque suburbs premiered June 29 on Channel One, at 9:30 p.m.

The first part of this lyrical detective beat the popularity records (according to the rating, Sea Patrol ranked second after football; almost every other country resident watched the TV-series). The second season promises to be even more adventurous, dynamic and lively. Each of the 20 new episodes introduces a new investigation.

While the success formula stays the same, “Sea. Summer. Anapa”, the TV-series itself has undergone a few “cosmetic” changes. According to Dmitri Orlov (Captain Melnikov), the characters have acquired a more well-groomed appearance starting to resemble metrosexuals rather than modest policemen from the first season. Svetlana Antonova’s heroine appears transformed as well having changed her modest suits of a prosecutor into tight skirts and high-heels which will help her to win Melnikov’s heart. Viewers will see Anapa, where the story takes place, not as a seacoast provincial town but a modern boisterous resort full of inviting beach lights and sounds of vibrant music. Against the background of this carefree life the heroes will have to solve new intricate crimes.
