Christopher Doyle, “I’m very impressed! I’d like to shoot a film here immediately!”

Christopher Doyle has worked on such productions as “Paris, je t'aime”, “Paranoid Park”, “2046”, “Invisible Waves” and many other internationally acclaimed motion pictures.

Doyl.jpgChristopher Doyle came to Moscow for the II International Educational Program TOMORROW GENERATION CAMPUS for beginning filmmakers.

The industry expert had preferred RWS studio to a conference room to conduct a workshop on the art of cinematography for the Campus participants.

According to the program’s task, the Campus participants had to shoot their own short film.

Thanks to RWS, the beginning filmmakers had a unique chance to demonstrate their knowledge putting it into practice.

RWS provided the budding talents not only with the soundstages to conduct shooting but with all the necessary equipment, as well, such as cameras, lighting equipment, props and even services of makeup artists.

In Doyle’s opinion, such an opportunity is an invaluable experience for beginning filmmakers since practice on the set is the best way to learn.

“I think the main objective of such events is to immerse in work atmosphere, get such an opportunity, feel connection and let younger generation do something on their own. The studio provides tons of opportunities!” Doyle commented.

A legendary interpreter Vasili Gorchakov accompanied Christopher in his visit to RWS facilitating the communication of the novice filmmakers with the expert cineaste.

Doyle had a look at each project and talked to each team. The guest celebrity admitted that RWS studio greatly impressed him.

Christopher Doyle was not only pleased by his visit to RWS, he also praised the advantages it offered – from its technical capacities and facilities to its location, “The very location of the studio, at the factory, is great and it’s right that there is a possibility to use the structure and the space of these premises and provide an impressive number of people with job positions. Once, in China, I visited a place like that. Oh, these buildings, houses… Nothing will make you experience such emotions. I’m very impressed! I’d like to shoot a film here immediately!”
