OFFICIAL ARRI SERVICE CENTER TO BE OPENED
Amsterdam, September 12, 2009 – ARRI, the largest manufacturer of professional motion picture equipment in the world, and Russian World Studios (RWS), one of the leading rental houses and film and television production companies in Russia, today signed a Service Partnership Agreement at IBC exhibition in Amsterdam.
According to the Agreement, RWS will be the first film and television production company in the territory of Russia to run ARRI Service Center aimed at providing ARRI Lighting products repair and maintenance services, including warranty service, on the territory of the Russian Federation during an
indefinite period.
The status of ARRI Service Center implies compliance with high-level international ARRI standards both in service center facilities and staff qualification, which have to be proven annually during special trainings held by ARRI.
Olga Sinelshchikova, RWS VP International, comments on the deal, “RWS is proud to become an official ARRI partner in providing maintenance services in Russia. Our companies have been working closely with each other for almost 10 years. In 2008 RWS new St. Petersburg studio was equipped with an exclusively designed range of ARRI Lighting. The opening of the Center is a new milestone in our relationships. It makes it easier for RWS to stay on the edge of technological perfection as well as to provide assistance to Russian film crews, who use ARRI equipment on the set. The latter is really important, because ARRI Lighting holds about 70% share of the market in Russia, and many productions will benefit from the opportunity to repair the equipment in their own territory.”
“We are glad that Russian World Studios will run ARRI Service Center in Russia. In order to achieve this status the company shall meet such criteria as experience in servicing, repairing and maintaining ARRI products, reliability as well as an ability to work according to high standards of professionalism. All these criteria have been demonstrated by RWS during our long-term collaboration, which we hope will develop further,” Sigrid Müller, Managing Director at ARRI Lighting Solutions Berlin and Head of Business Unit Lighting at ARNOLD & RICHTER CINE TECHNIK, said.
The opening of ARRI Service Center is scheduled for autumn 2010.
